Communication Summit: Work in Hollywood
What did you learn? To start things off, I actually did not stay for the entire thing. I was part of the virtual meeting for a little more than an hour. Unfortunately, I either was kicked or lost connection to the meeting, and I was not able to reconnect. However, during my time in the meeting, I did learn a few interesting things. A great deal of the speakers times was used explaining his career in Hollywood. He wasn't and actor, but he worked for multiple studios and networks. The two that I mainly remember were HBO and Nickelodeon. This is the odd thing; as one is a kids network while the other is a adult network. I think that is why it stuck in my memory and caught my attention. One of his main topics that he spoke about was how to capture an audience. He talked about kids shows that he worked on Nickelodeon and how the network and many of the shows went out of their way to slip in entertainment pieces in children's shows.
